Description

Transporting loads from door to door around town just got a little easier, with the Longtail Hybrid 725. Built around our sturdy longtail frame, a rigid alloy fork and comfortable 2.6in Schwalbe tyres, it's full of practical design features like the included front and rear lights and extra-sturdy, twin-leg kickstand. A telescopic seatpost and adjustable Speedlifter stem mean that one size really does fit (almost) all, with quick and simple tool-free adjustments. The powerful fourth-generation Bosch Cargo Line motor and 725Wh battery pack work with an easy-to-use, stepless hub gear system to make any journey across town a breeze, while dependable Magura hydraulic disc brakes deliver safe stopping in all weathers. And optional accessories including extendable rear carrier, child seat with step boards and safety guard, Eurobox adapter and frame- or fork-mounted front carriers make this a versatile – and environmentally friendly – beast of burden.

Frame description
Our cargo-carrying Longtail Hybrid is built with practicality in mind. Powered by Bosch's fourth-generation Cargo Line motor and supplied with a 725Wh battery – but with the ability to accept batteries up to a total of 1,350Wh – it's designed to handle a load of up to 200kg in total. A weight of 60kg can be carried on the sturdy, extended rear carrier, which can accept two standard carrier bags per side and features elastomer suspension. There's an optional extension to allow the fitting of a standard Eurobox, an available headset-mounted front carrier and even an optional down-tube carrier for extra load-carrying potential. Without the additional extra battery there's also a small, lockable storage compartment in the down tube. Is there a better, traffic-beating way of transporting loads around town? We don't think so.
